Remember How Quickly Our World Can Change!

As I was driving my car into work Wednesday (09/12/01), I kept thinking about all of the people who went to work on Tuesday morning (09/11/01) not knowing what was about to happen.  How many times have you hurried to work or school or the store, not ever thinking that you may not make it back home.  I have never written anything like this, please sign my guest book at the bottom of this page and let me know what you think.

"As I go to Work this Morning"

My tribute to those needlessly lost on 09/11/01

As I go to work this morning

Will I make it back today?

To the world of which I am used to

To the land of which I am made!

Did I kiss my child this morning?

Did I look her in the eye?

Did I tell her that I Love Her?

Was that my last Good Bye?

Did I kiss my wife this morning?

Will she miss me much tonight?

If I do not make it back this way

If I die while on my flight!

Did I thank my God this morning?

For the beauty all around

Keep me safe here in this tower

Keep me safe down on the ground!

Did I thank my God this morning?

For the wonders of today?

For the freedoms I am granted

For my country did I pray?

There are always people out there

That are cruel and most unkind

And may keep me from returning

With destruction on their minds.

There is hatred here this morning

As those planes head for the earth

To destroy us in America

To destroy all we hold worth!

What they don’t realize this morning

What they will never understand

America the land of freedom

Was strengthened by their plan!

Just look in the eyes this morning

As they look up in dismay

Each holding up their neighbor

Each praying their own way!

God Bless America this morning

God Bless the victims where they lay

God Bless their friends and family

Strengthen America Today!

As I go to work this morning

Will I make it back today?

Thank God I'm in America

For America I pray!
