Welcome to "An Old Hippie's Web Page" with some changes.  My name is Barbara, most people on the web know me as FunnyLady.  I graduated from High School in 1967 and dabbled in the Hippie Movement.  I considered my self a "Weekend Hippie"  I did, at one time, live with about 9 people in a house, but it wasn't in San Francisco or any place like that.  The 60's was a time of change, mostly in our way of thinking and questioning what 'THEY" said was right and wrong.  I am not saying that everything we did or thought was right or even new, it was our generations way of learning what really mattered.  

We learned that it didn't matter what color you were, what sex you were, what disabilities you had, you were a human being and we wanted to make the world realize we could all live in peace, if only the world would listen!  Yes, there were drugs and sex, but that was just the rebellious part of us coming out...lol.  Most of us got past that part, but did we keep the good parts of what we were trying to teach the world?  We wanted to make a difference and I want to continue to try here on the internet.

Before the 60's most everyone just accepted their Role in life, being young in the 60's, we learned to Think for ourselves and question what "THEY" wanted us to think, do, believe, and accept as the norm.  We also wanted to make a difference and maybe the "WEB" is our chance!
